Partner Sandra Mitterling Schilder has been selected Secretary of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Section Council.  The Construction Section, comprised of more than 500 members, is concerned with construction issues such as public and private contracting, development, insurance and claims, mechanics’ liens and bonds, construction defects, and OSHA compliance and subcontracting.

Sandy is a senior litigator with over 25 years of experience.  Her civil litigation practice is primarily centered in construction and commercial liability, defending design professionals such as architects and engineers.  She has handled hundreds of construction defect and negligence cases as well as contract disputes involving projects of all sizes from single family residential to multi-million dollar commercial, industrial and roadway projects.  Sandy’s broad knowledge of the construction industry includes counseling clients in employment law matters and often representing professionals before licensing boards.
