Sandy Schilder Elected Treasurer of the NCBA Construction Law Section.

Partner Sandra Mitterling Schilder has been elected Treasurer of the governing body of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section where she has been an at large member of the Council since 2015 and a member of the Section for over 20 years.

The Section is involved with construction issues including public and private contracting, development, insurance and claims, mechanics’ liens and bonds, construction defects, OSHA compliance and subcontracting. The Section also provides CLEs, helps revise and maintain construction law forms, molds legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly and generally supports the construction bar throughout the state.

In her law practice of over 25 years, Sandy has managed hundreds of construction defect and negligence claims and contract disputes.  She focuses on civil litigation in commercial liability—primarily construction liability.  She also serves clients in professional licensing and liability matters as well as employment and labor law issues.
