Sandy Schilder has been named in North Carolina Lawyers Weekly magazine’s 2024 “Power List” for excellence in Construction law. When selecting lawyers for its Power List, the publication looks for exemplary lawyers who are considered experts in their field. This list is limited to 20 lawyers and Sandy’s designation is a result of peer nomination which recognizes top lawyers whose expertise, accomplishments and professionalism are well acknowledged within North Carolina’s legal community.

Sandy is a senior litigator with nearly 30 years of experience. Her civil defense practice is primarily centered in construction and commercial liability, often defending design professionals. She has managed hundreds of construction defect and negligence cases as well as contract disputes involving projects of all sizes from single family homes to complex industrial, commercial and roadway projects as she tackles and resolves matters both in and out of the courtroom. She is the current Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section Council where she has held multiple leadership positions during her membership in the Section Council in since 2015.  Sandy often presents construction legal topics to audiences in the NCBA as well.
