Eight residential real estate paralegals and staff members and two of our lawyers volunteered with BackPack Buddies, a program of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle that provides meals to children in need around the Triangle. The organization reports that one in five children within their service area is at risk of hunger and delivers almost 2,900 BackPack Buddies meals every weekend when free school lunches and breakfasts are not available. On Monday, the Ragsdale Liggett team packaged nutritious kid friendly groceries for those children.

Our group of enthusiastic volunteers, accustomed to performing as many as 25 residential real estate closings a day, utilized their diligence, accuracy and team work to trigger their competitive spirit in putting the packages together. They completed 281 BackPack Buddies in an hour, only 4 short of the all-time best record, signaling they’ll return to beat that record. Ragsdale Liggett is passionate about doing good work in charitable service that benefits our community.
