Melissa Brumback has been named in North Carolina Lawyers Weekly magazine’s 2025 “Power List” for excellence in Construction Law. When selecting honorees for its Power List, the publication looks for exemplary lawyers who are considered experts in their field. Melissa’s designation is a result of peer nomination which recognizes top inductees whose expertise, accomplishments and professionalism are well acknowledged within North Carolina’s legal community.

Melissa is a litigation partner with over 25 years of experience, whose practice is focused on construction law, professional liability, and business disputes. She represents architects and engineers in defense of construction claims of all sizes, from residential disputes to private commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, prisons, and other multi-prime, multi-million-dollar public construction projects. She is a council member of the NCBA Construction Law Section and chairs the section’s AIA/Design Professionals Committee. Melissa is also a Panel Member of the American Arbitration Association in Construction Law.
