Melissa Brumback was elected Council Member of the North Carolina Bar Association Construction Law Section by its membership at its 2023 Annual Meeting held in Charlotte on May 4, 2023.  She will serve a three-year term beginning in July and in this position, she will assist the Council in its responsibility of general supervision and control of the affairs of the Section.

For 25 years, Melissa has defended architects and engineers in hundreds of construction and professional liability cases of all sizes. She currently serves as chair for the Construction Law Section Council’s AIA/Design Professionals Committee and is a panel member of the American Arbitration Association in Construction Law.  Melissa received her JD and BA degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill.
