John Cella was speaker at NCBA Estate Planning & Probate Law CLE

John Cella was a presenter for the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2021 Estate Planning & Probate Law Survey Course, sponsored by the NCBA Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section.  The live webcast on September 23-24, was intended for individuals who practice or are new to practice in the estate planning and probate law areas.  John presented two topics – “Retirement Benefits” and “Life Insurance”.  The session on retirement benefits included qualified retirement plan and IRA planning considerations as well as a review of the SECURE Act changes to the required minimum distribution rules.  The session on life insurance covered basic federal income and estate tax treatment and reviewed common estate and business planning opportunities with life insurance.

John has practiced in estate planning, probate, tax, and ERISA law for over twenty years.
