John Cella has been named a “Leader in the Law” by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly in its 2026 Excellence in Law awards. The award honors members of the North Carolina Bar who have made important contributions to the practice of law in the state, the local legal community, and the community at large. The awards ceremony was held at The Friday Conference Center in Chapel Hill on April 23, 2026.

John is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. Skilled at managing tax-oriented and family complexities in estate planning and estate and trust administration matters, John has practiced in trusts and estates, tax, and ERISA for over twenty-five years.
