John Cella recently presented “The Basics and Ethics of Estate Planning and Probate Law” to Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) lawyers and staff. The continuing legal education program addressed common ethics issues in estate planning representations such as the client’s identity, the scope of representation, and conflicts of interest, including attention to problematic third-party requests to perform legal services for another person. John also covered estate administration ethics considerations when one wears two hats as a personal representative and a beneficiary of an estate.
