John Cella has been accepted into Class III of the Southeast Fellows Institute (SEFI) of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a national organization of lawyers elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence, and experience as trust and estate counselors. ACTEC Fellows created the Southeast Fellows Institute to develop future leaders in trust and estate law through in-depth educational presentations led by ACTEC Fellows from the Southeast and other regions of the United States.
ACTEC Fellows nominate candidates for SEFI and select participants through a competitive application process. The Class III Institute will begin in September and conclude in May 2026.
A North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law, John is a frequent presenter on estate planning and administration topics. He is skilled at resolving matters ranging from estate, gift, and GST tax compliance to sensitive personal, marital, parental, and sibling issues in estate planning and estate and trust administration. John has practiced in trusts and estates, tax, and ERISA law for over twenty years.
