Elizabeth Overmann has been selected to North Carolina Trucking Association’s (NCTA) Women in Trucking Advisory Board. Among other responsibilities, the board will be tasked with planning and implementing its 2025 Summit conference. Elizabeth is a member of NCTA’s Women in Trucking Council and also serves on the Board of Directors and Allied and Legislative Committees. Since 1929, NCTA promotes the rights of carriers while providing education, safety training and leadership.
Elizabeth is a seasoned lawyer who represents large and small motor carriers and trucking companies on behalf of many national insurance companies or directly for the trucking company. For more than 20 years, she has defended claims in personal and catastrophic injury, property damage and cargo claims in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. She is active in all sectors in defense of the trucking industry including other legal organizations such as TIDA, DRI, and IDAC.
