Elizabeth Overmann participated in the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) 2024 Midyear Meeting held in Miami, February 17-23.  IADC, with a membership of approximately 2,500 invitation-only, peer-reviewed corporate and insurance defense attorneys and insurance executives, is a select group of professionals with advanced skills in defense law and takes a leadership role in many areas of legal reform and professional development. Elizabeth is one of three Ragsdale Liggett lawyers who have been juried into IDAC, and she is active in the organization where she serves on its Transportation and Insurance and Reinsurance Committees.

Elizabeth is a senior defense litigator with over twenty years’ experience where her practice is focused on transportation with an emphasis on trucking, personal injury, and catastrophic injuries. She also manages matters in construction, premises and product liability and handles complex litigation pre-suit through trial. She is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in North Carolina and South Carolina as well as state courts in Virginia.
