Elizabeth Overmann named to Board of Directors of the NC Trucking Association

Elizabeth Overmann was elected to the 2023-24 Board of Directors for the North Carolina Trucking Association at its 23rd Annual Management Conference meeting held in Savannah, Georgia 7/31-8/2/2023.  Since 1929, the North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) is the largest statewide trucking organization dedicated to promoting advocacy, safety, compliance and leadership, serves as the voice of the industry. Elizabeth is a strong advocate for the industry and has defended trucking companies for much of her career.  She has been a devoted member of the NCTA since 2017 serving in leadership positions on numerous committees including the Legislative and Allied Committees and, she serves on the Women in Trucking Council.

Elizabeth, an experienced defense litigator whose practice for the past twenty years has focused on transportation with an emphasis on trucking, personal injury, and catastrophic injuries. She also handles complex construction, premises, and product liability matters.  Elizabeth has significant skills defending clients in complex matters pre-suit through trial and is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in North Carolina and South Carolina and state courts in Virginia.  Elizabeth earned her JD from Campbell University School of Law and her BS from Appalachian State University.
