Dottie Burch was Speaker at the National Equine Law Conference in Lexington, KY

Ragsdale Liggett attorney Dottie Burch was a presenter at the 39th Annual National Conference on Equine Law in Lexington, Kentucky. Hosted annually by the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law, the conference is considered to be the nation’s authoritative seminar on equine law. In a panel discussion, Dottie spoke on the topic “Anatomy of an Equine Sales Dispute.” She has participated in the annual conference for over a decade.

Dottie Burch is widely considered to be the leading equine lawyer in North Carolina. As a long-time equestrian with direct knowledge of horse-related legal issues, her equine law practice is complemented with over thirty years as a practitioner in business, insurance and real property law. She is involved in the North Carolina Horse Council as both a director and a member of its Executive Committee, and she is the past chair of the American Bar Association’s Animal Law Committee’s Equine Law Subcommittee. Dottie regularly speaks and writes on a variety of equine, business and real estate law subjects.
