Partners Dottie Burch and Sandy Schilder were Scoring Jurors for the North Carolina Mock Trial Program regional competition held in Raleigh at Campbell Law School on February 7, 2026. The program, supported by North Carolina Access to Justice, educates high school students about the justice system and trial by jury by turning courtrooms into classrooms, connecting students with real life lawyers and judges in hands-on-learning which in turn helps students gain civic understanding while building analytical and communication skills. Lawyers who volunteer as Scoring Jurors watch a round of the trial competition, score students on their performance while providing feedback and critique. Regional winners proceed to a State Final competition in March, and state champions will represent North Carolina at Nationals in Iowa in May.
