Bill Pollock was a panel speaker at the 2019 Annual Conference of the Claims & Litigation Management held in Orlando. A session of the CLM’s Environmental section, “Going Hog Wild – Liability and Insurance Coverage Issues Surrounding Recent Farming Verdicts” was an in- depth discussion of the impact of 2018 verdicts categorizing farm odors as “contaminants” and, the resulting legislation in North Carolina and other states. Additionally, the panel examined insurance coverage issues that could emerge from these types of claims under the various types of policies. As a commercial litigator, Bill’s practice includes Environmental and Toxic Tort defense where he successfully defended toxicity and contamination claims for national manufacturers and nuisance cases for agricultural producers. The CLM is the largest network in the country comprised of industries and professionals involved in claims and litigation.
