Elizabeth Overmann and John Nunnally attended a legislative reception held by the North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) on May 7 at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. Members connected with members of the NC General Assembly to talk about current issues important to and impacting motor carriers and drivers. NCTA actively lobbies the NC General Assembly and provides a strong voice to protect and advocate on behalf of the trucking industry by working with state and federal regulatory and enforcement agencies. The association is also dedicated to providing the industry with excellence in education and training.
Elizabeth serves on NCTA’s Board of Directors, Legislative Committee, Women in Trucking Council and Advisory Board, and Allied Committee. John and Elizabeth are seasoned lawyers in our Trucking and Transportation practice who represent large and small motor carriers and trucking companies often on behalf of national insurance companies or directly for the trucking company in claims in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia. In addition to the NC Trucking Association, our trucking lawyers are highly involved in legal organizations promoting the defense of our clients such as TIDA, DRI, IADC, among others.
