Elizabeth Overmann attended the North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) and North Carolina Forestry Association’s joint legislative reception held at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh on May 12, 2026. In addition to providing educational and safety materials to the trucking industry since 1929, NCTA protects the interests of the industry by working with state and federal regulatory and enforcement agencies.

A fervent advocate for the industry, Elizabeth has defended trucking companies and has been involved in the transportation industry for more than 20 years. She has been a dedicated member of NCTA since 2013 serving in leadership roles and is currently Allied Chair on NCTA’s Executive Committee as well as the Women In Trucking Council Advisory Board.
