In the area of real estate acquisition and disposition, Ragsdale Liggett represents real estate developers and homebuilders, lenders and title companies. Our practice encompasses all aspects of residential and commercial real estate, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions of improved and unimproved real property
- Leasing, real estate loans and other financial accommodations
- Land development, zoning and land use regulatory matters
Ragsdale Liggett has considerable expertise in structuring complex residential and commercial real estate transactions. Some of the residential and commercial real estate developers we have represented are involved in extensive subdivision development, university housing projects and bond transactions.
Low Income Housing Tax Credit Transactions
Ragsdale Liggett has represented institutional low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) investors and general partner/developers in structuring, negotiating and documenting limited partnerships and limited liability companies for which the purchase of LIHTCs represented the most significant portion of the equity investment.
The transactions in which our clients have participated with our representation include state allocated LIHTCs and volume cap bond financed projects, for which LIHTCs are available without specific state housing finance agency allocation. Our firm provides due diligence review of all documentation for compliance with LIHTC requirements.
