Construction Law & Litigation

In the transactional side of the practice, our real estate group and construction lawyers have extensive experience negotiating industry form contracts and agreements using AIA or AGC documents. We also represent architects and engineers in reviewing or negotiating their contracts. Our construction and litigation lawyers represent insurance carriers that provide E&O coverage for the construction industry, so we are often involved in construction disputes which are either mediated, arbitrated or litigated. The scope of our litigation experience includes bid claims, delay claims and design errors, materials failure, defective installation, change orders, project scope disputes and contract terminations.

We also advise clients on the prosecution and defense of mechanics’ liens and represent national title insurers in resolving a wide variety of title and coverage issues relating to defective titles, lien priority and other title issues.
