Ragsdale Liggett Attorney Dorothy Burch is on the Equine Law Panel for the 2013 UNC Animal Law Symposium

Raleigh – March, 2013 – Dorothy Bass Burch, partner at Ragsdale Liggett, will serve on a panel to discuss Current Issues in Equine Law at the second Animal Law Symposium on March 23, 2013 at the UNC School of Law. The event is hosted by the UNC Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) and the panel will address equine liability issues, recent and pending legislation and case studies of relevant legal matters. Administrative Law Judge Beecher R. Gray and Sue Gray, Executive Director of the North Carolina Horse Council will join Ms. Burch on the panel.
A seasoned Equine Lawyer, Dottie is a regular guest lecturer on equine law and has served on several panels as an expert on North Carolina equine law. She authors articles on equine law topics for Southeast Equine magazine and is deeply involved with the North Carolina Horse Council as both a director and a member of its Executive Committee. Dottie Chairs the Equine Law Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Animal Law Committee.
