Ragsdale Liggett practices in a wide range of construction litigation. Our lawyers are seasoned litigators who handle complex construction dispute litigation, with a special emphasis in representing architects and engineers in design defect claims. In the representation of design professionals, we handle claims such as:
* Construction administration and management claims
* Plan defects
* Testing failure claims
* Delay claims
* Pay Application delay issues
* RFI and Change Order claims
In addition to design professionals, the firm also represents general contractors, subcontractors, home inspectors, and others involved in the construction industry, and has handled all sizes of claims. We are routinely involved in multi-prime or significant public construction projects throughout the state. Often we are asked to provide loss-prevention guidance and advice to clients during a Project to prevent the later filing of a construction claim.
In our Collections group, we regularly file construction liens and engage in lien prosecution to protect the interests of our contractor and subcontractor clients.
The firm also represents homeowners or project owners when they have experienced construction defects by contractors or others, acting to maximize recovery of damages in the most economical forum and fashion available.
