Lisa Piercy works as a lobbyist in the Lobbying and Government Relations Group at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, where her practice is devoted to lobbying on behalf of the firm’s clients, as well as providing consulting services related to government agency matters. Lisa has been ranked among the Top 50 Lobbyists in North Carolina by the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research. She is well known for her strong record of success representing clients with legislative and executive leaders of both political parties.
Prior to joining Ragsdale Liggett, Lisa owned and operated a Triangle lobbying and consulting firm for 11 years. She has worked on the staff of United States Senator Terry Sanford and served as assistant secretary in the North Carolina Department of Administration and as an entrepreneurial development specialist for the North Carolina Department of Commerce for Governor James B. Hunt Jr. She was also appointed by Governor Hunt to a four-year term on the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. Lisa has more than twenty years of government relations experience.
Originally from Boiling Springs, North Carolina, Lisa received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from Meredith College. She is a former board member of the Capital Area YMCA, Central YMCA and the Urban Ministries of Raleigh.
