Knicole Carson Allen,  Associate, Litigation

Knicole Allen is an associate and member of the litigation group.  Prior to joining Ragsdale Liggett, she was an Associate Attorney General for the North Carolina Attorney Generals Office in Raleigh in the Health and Public Services section.  She started her career with King & Spalding in Atlanta, GA. 

Ms. Allens practice of over eight years is concentrated in litigation, specifically in healthcare, products liability, medical malpractice defense, administrative law and regulatory law.  She understands the intricate healthcare payment system, the unique business environment and the overlay of regulations and agency oversight that affect the way healthcare entities operate.

Ms. Allen has litigated in court before juries, in administrative proceedings, before arbitration panels and, in various appellate forums. As lead counsel, Ms. Allen has tried over 500 administrative cases with favorable results in more than 90% of these cases.  In private practice, she has represented Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, physicians and pharmaceutical companies in complex class actions.

Knicole resides in Apex with her daughter Madison. 

Experience Highlights:
- Lead counsel for the Attorney General, representing more than 500 health care appeals of Medicaid providers and recipients resulting  in the savings of millions of North Carolina taxpayer dollars.  In more than 90% of these cases, results yielded were favorable.

- Represented major tire manufacturing company in nationwide class  action asserting rollovers were fault of manufacturer.

- Represented Fortune 500 chemical company in environmental toxic tort class action.
