John B. Walker ("Bo") , Associate, Litigation

Bo Walker joined Ragsdale Liggett PLLC in Raleigh in January, 2012 after working at Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog for five years. He joined the Wilmington office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog in 2006, where he focused initially on medical malpractice and general liability matters. Since relocating to the Raleigh office in 2007, he expanded his litigation practice into the additional areas of commercial and residential construction, products liability, premises liability, commercial litigation and insurance fraud.

Bo's representation of insurance companies and businesses of all sizes has included participation in arbitration and settlement negotiations; preparation of motions, including oral arguments for summary judgment; taking a trial to jury in Superior Court, and collection matters in conjunction with worker's compensation insurance premium fraud.

- Representation of insurance companies to collect from employers who have fraudulently withheld workers? compensation premiums.

- Defense of contractors and subcontractors on a variety of alleged construction defect claims involving commercial and residential properties (e.g. represented landowners and contractors in defense of claims arising out of dynamite blasting operations).

- Representation of insurers in motor vehicle crashes involving wrongful death claims.

- Defense of restaurants, shopping malls, and other retail businesses in a variety of premises liability claims, and provide client counsel on liability prevention.
