AMIE C. SIVON

Amie C. Sivon, Associate, Litigation

Amie C. Sivon is an associate attorney practicing in the litigation department of Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, where she concentrates on both general and complex civil litigation. Amie handles a variety of litigation matters, including business litigation, corporate disputes, insurance defense and appellate advocacy. She is admitted to practice before North Carolina state and federal courts, including the Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.

Amie is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys, the Wake County Bar Association and the Wake Women Attorneys.

Amie grew up in Hickory, North Carolina, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1998 from Wake Forest University, graduating cum laude and with Honors in History. Amie went on to attend the University of North Carolina School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor with High Honors in 2005 and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

While at UNC, Amie was a senior staff member of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. She also received the Gressman-Pollitt Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy and served as Pro Bono Board Public Relations Coordinator. During her law school tenure, Amie served as a legal extern to Justice Mark Martin on the North Carolina Supreme Court. She also worked with the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Labor Section of the North Carolina Department of Justice.

Amie is active in Capital Area Teen Court, a private, nonprofit diversion/sentencing option in which youth offenders admit responsibility for their offenses and agree to be sentenced in a court of their peers.  Amie is also a member of the NC Bar Association’s Public Service Advisory Committee and the Young Lawyer’s Division Law Week/Liberty Bell Award Committee.

Amie and her husband Jason reside in Apex, North Carolina.
