Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. is a partner and chair of the Residential Real Estate Department, which Metro Magazine has named Ragsdale Liggett as one of the Best Real Estate Law Firms in the Triangle area for four consecutive years.  Mr. Ramseur's practice focuses exclusively on residential and commercial real estate transactions, financing and development, tax and entity structuring, lease negotiation and drafting, and real estate litigation.

Bob acts as counsel for buyers and sellers, real estate developers, homebuilders, banks and mortgage brokers, real estate brokers, landlords and tenants. His practice encompasses a wide variety of real estate issues, including foreclosure and eviction proceedings, partition actions, boundary disputes, title defect resolution and contract drafting. In addition to his extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, Bob is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker.

Bob received a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Wake Forest University and earned his law degree at Wake Forest University in 1995.

Licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 1996, Bob formed his own law firm which merged with Ragsdale Liggett in 2001. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts of North Carolina, the District Court of the United States (Eastern District of North Carolina) and the United States Supreme Court.  Bob is a member of the Wake County Bar Association and the 10th Judicial District where he has served on the Board of Directors.  A member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Mr. Ramseur is also a member of the Real Property Section Council and is the Co-Chair of the Real Property Joint Form Commission.  He is the immediate Past President of the Wake County Real Property Lawyers' Association.

Bob has been named as one of Business North Carolina Magazine's "Legal Elite" and was named a Super Lawyers(r) Rising Star.  He received the Triangle Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Leadership Award that honors successful business leaders who make a difference through both business accomplishments and community involvement.

Bob is a fervent and devoted community servant.  He was appointed to serve as the Nation's Chief of the Y-Guides and Princesses programs of the YMCA of the Triangle, the largest father-child program in the US.  He is the Past-President of the Board of Directors of Theatre in the Park, Inc. and is the Past-President of the Rotary Club of the Capital City.  Bob also serves on the Board of Visitors for Camps Sea Gull and Seafarer. 
 
Bob and his wife, Amanda, have a son and daughter and reside in Raleigh and are members of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.
